David Rosenthal, Principal Percussion
David F. Rosenthal has been the Principal Percussionist of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra since 1982, and was the percussion instructor at San Francisco State University from 1985 to 2007.
He has also performed extensively with a wide variety of groups including the San Francisco Opera and Symphony Orchestras and various San Francisco based chamber orchestras, as well as with the California New Music Ensemble, the San Francisco Contemporary Chamber Players, the Steve Reich Ensemble, the Harry Partch Ensemble and the Cabrillo Festival Orchestra.
He is heard in many recordings of orchestral and contemporary chamber music.
