On March 25, 2016 the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra will have it’s performance premiere of two pieces which also appear on its upcoming CD releases. In this KALW Radio interview with Music Director and Principal Conductor Martin West, you’ll hear excerpts from the SF Ballet Orchestra’s recordings of Moszkowski’s Fackeltanz (Dance with Flares) and Kip Winger’s Conversations with Nijinsky. Here, West also gives a shout–out to some of our fellow orchestra members, including Concertmaster Cordula Merks.
The program is Open Air with host David Latulippe from March 17, 2016.
