The Program will highlight composers from the San Francisco Ballet’s 2015 repertory season and will feature:

The musicians of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra under Music Director, Martin West, performing:

  • Movements from Schubert’s Octet in F
  • Piano Quintet by Shostakovich
  • Prokofiev’s Quintet for Winds and Strings
  • Brahms Viola Quintet Op.111
  • A new work for solo piano by Shinji Eshima, composer for this season’s “Swimmer,” a new ballet choreographed by Yuri Possokhov. (Note: This piece will premiere on April 10, 2015  at the San Francisco Ballet, with subsequent performances on April 12,15,16,18, and 21, 2015.)
