Originally from Belmont, Massachusetts, Ben Wulfman received a Doctoral degree in French horn performance from the University of Michigan and a Master of Music degree in French horn performance from Northwestern University.
Before moving to the bay area, Ben spent a year and half as acting 2nd horn in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. In his years of performing, he has played in the sections of the New York
Philharmonic, the Dallas Symphony, the Orchestra of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and many others. Ben has played all over the world as an orchestral performer including a tour to Taiwan and China with the New York Philharmonic under the direction of Jaap van Zweden. Ben has also been a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center and the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.
Serving as a Lecturer of Horn at the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University, Ben is a highly regarded instructor. He has had many students find success in music education, performance, and music industry fields.
In his free time, Ben enjoys watching basketball, collecting vinyl, and going on walks with his partner, Corrie, and their dog, Rockie.
