Phillip Palmore, originally from Hilo, Hawai’i, joined the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra on 4th horn at the start of the 2023-24 season. He has performed with various professional ensembles, such as the San Francisco Opera, Colorado Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, and Sarasota Orchestra, and, until recently, held the 4th horn position with the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. Furthermore, he has attended various music festivals such as Music Academy, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Sarasota Music Festival. Phillip holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati (BM) and The Juilliard School (MM) and is thankful to his primary instructors, Elizabeth Freimuth, Randy Gardner, Denise Tryon, Julie Landsman, and Michael Thornton for all their help and guidance.
