Phillip Palmore is originally from Hilo, Hawaii. He received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and his Master of Music from The Julliard School under the tutelage of Julie Landsman and Michelle Baker. In addition, he has studied with Elizabeth Freimuth, Randy Gardner, Julie Landsman, Michael Thornton, and Denise Tryon.

Phillip joined the San Francisco Ballet orchestra during the 2023-24 season as Fourth Horn and has since moved up to Second Horn. He is also a member of the San Francisco Opera orchestra and plays regularly with the San Francisco Symphony.

In his free time, Phillip enjoys skiing, taking long city walks with his partner Anna, and going on trail rides in Montara with Anna’s pet horse Snowball.
